Yoga and Hypopressives for Pelvic Health with Tessa Venuti Sanderson
Tessa incorporates hypopressive techniques, functional movement and yoga to give you a targeted series of exercises to support your pelvic health.
Hypopressives target the relationship between the pelvic diaphragm and the respiratory diaphragm using deep breathing to improve pelvic floor integrity in relation to incontinence, prolapse and core strength issues.
Weakness or tightness in the pelvic floor can track from other parts of the body, compensating for postural issues, restriction from scars and other issues. She will provide movements that work holistically with your whole body to bring about balance.
Tessa will assess your individual needs and create a simple programme that is doable and realistic within your daily schedule.
You will have access to a recording of your session to support your practice of the exercises.
She has an MSc in Nutrition, Exercise and Public Health, is a senior yoga teacher with 20+ years of experience and specialised in women's health 10 years ago. She is a mother of two and aims to leave women feeling informed, validated in their experience and wonderfully well.
Tessa Venuti Sanderson has taught yoga since 2004 and now trains other yoga teachers, particularly in pelvic health, pregnancy and postnatal specialisms. She incorporated hypopressive exercises into her toolbox to support women of all ages, struggling with pelvic floor issues and diastasis recti caused by hormonal changes, pregnancy and postural issues.
She is a trainer of circle facilitators, prioritising a trauma-informed approach to create safe spaces where women can share their experiences.
Tessa is the author of nine books for women and children, focused on empowering people to know their bodies better, including the menstrual cycle.
She has volunteered for her local Maternity Voices partnership for the last eight years, being a voice for women at different points of their perinatal journey.
She is also a volunteer mentor for disengaged young people who benefit from a consistent presence in their lives.
Tessa meets you where you are, to create a relaxed space to connect with your body and take the next steps forward.
